Created for my work with the University of Pittsburgh's University Library System and Office of Undergraduate Research as an Archival Scholars Research Award recipient, this StoryMapJS explores and analyzes the highly-sexualized representations of girlhood in the mid-twentieth century girls' magazine, Polly Pigtails.

Created for my work with the University of Pittsburgh's University Library System and Office of Undergraduate Research as an Archival Scholars Research Award recipient, this poster displays the culmination of my research concerning the mid-twentieth century girls' magazine Polly Pigtails and the ways in which girlhood is represented within its pages.

Elements in Time and Space

Written for my Sentence Shop class in 2018, this piece manipulates the reader's perception of time. In order to achieve this effect, I interrupted the flow of multiple sentences with the addition of appositive phrases, used repetition, varied sentence length, and used highly specific details.
